The other day, my friend/club booker, Kris and I got together to go over some songs for his birthday. He made me laugh. It was very fun. I met another perfomer name Rome Neal at Kris's office. http://http://www.monktheplay.com/
He had an incredibly strong spirit. It turns out that he had put on a one man show portraying Thelonius Monk. Wow! It received rave reviews. I wish I had known about it, because I would have definitely gone to the show. He organizes a jazz jam session at the Nuyoricans Cafe. It sounds interesting.My time has been spent negotiating deals with club bookers. My guitar playing is getting stronger. Slowly but surely. My callouses are like rights of passage. May the blessings continue.
