Oh my God

This performance was not one of my happier moments.I explained what my first song would be about. Although the songs were in the exact order on the cd, the sound person played the 6th song instead of the first and so on and so forth. That's what I get for not doing a sound check and for assuming that a cd could be played in order. I don't know what happened. Maybe the sound guy was being pulled in a billion directions, but I know it knocked me for a loop.
Ups and downs, that's it. There were punk rock drag queens. I decided to wear a blonde wig to join in the fun, but it did feel very awkward.I kept thinking I miss my band and how my guitar playing has come along, but I need to get it so good that I feel comfortable backing myself up.
Kris and Danny had the good insight to play their own guitar. So, they did not have to worry about someone playing the wrong song for them. They were hilarious.
This was one of those nights. Two of the porn idol contestants were escorted out of the club. I think they overindulged in their party favors. One of the drag queens came up to me and gave me some constructive criticism after he bought a cd.
I think Danny's style went over the best with this particular audience. He did his own acoustic version of Missy Elliot's, "Work It."They loved it. He was adorable.
Well, they can't all go smoothly. It is on to the next show.
