My aunt died of cancer today. She was the kindest person. She always listened no matter what. God knows I don't have her patience. lol. I miss her so much already. I am very angry that she is gone. The world feels empty when someone so good is taken so early. I am grateful that I went to see her before she died. It is still very shocking. I hope I can try to be half the person she was.

Gratitude
I am grateful for my true friends. I am grateful for being able to swim in the ocean. I am grateful for having a place to get away to. I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for all of the possibilities that I can see and that I can not even imagine. I am grateful for a 6th sense which I unfortunately have not been taking full advantage of. I am grateful for people that point out what actually is when I'd sometimes rather bury my head into the sand or under the covers. I am grateful for the good people that help me walk forward. I am grateful for those people I call the balance. The balance people are there when you have had a horrible day or painful experience and out of the blue, the balance people do a good deed, usually unexpected, and get you through. I don't know what you believe in, but I do believe that someone is watching out for you at times. Making sure you know that someone does care.
There are some strange things that go on in this world. There are some really strange, cold, callous people. Being a good person, I think it is harder for me to understand them even more sometimes, but I am aware that those forces are a part of life as well as much as I wish they were not. I sometimes wonder WHY and HOW( How can they, why would they) way too much. I know things just are the way they are sometimes, but what purpose do the cruel really serve? Can't we just send them out to space or something? They can be exhausting at times.

NY Summer Streets
NY Summer Streets was another experience. We arrived early for our sound check like we were asked to, but we did not actually have it until like 2 minutes before our set. There were all of these joggers and cyclists getting a move on. Petrosino square is getting a serious makeover so the small stage was set up on Cleveland Street. The organizer was very gracious. It was nice to meet him in person. We attracted a nice crowd. Jeff and Jeff for so calm which was calming for me. I always get nervous. It is partly excitement. We did like 5 songs. People seemed to like Proud Freak the most and Crazy. I love doing that. Boy can I relate to it. :) My voice was drier than normal. I should have stretched my chords that morning, but each show is always different. You just keep moving and doing what you know. It is all you can do. If you do not do what you love, a part of you begins to die. So singing was like oxygen for me. The most pure you can find.

I am Grateful

Not one day goes by that I am not grateful for resigning from an extremely hostile work environment. It was always made very clear to me in overt and subtle ways how unwelcome I was. If anyone has mistreated you, you do not deserve to be harassed(sexually/verbally/or in an other form). You do not have to be subjected to racism or the cruelty of the cut throat. No one has the right to speak to you as if you are not human. No bonus or huge salary is worth spiritual death.
This life is very short. I chose to be around people that are positive. I chose to be around people that appreciate me and that are trustworthy. I am much happier. I have become Buddhist and my friends are good people. I look forward to being able to sing again at night. All in due time. I am still alive and kicking.
I sent my friend Thom Loubet some mailing labels for college campus bookers. He will put them to good use.
